There are several types of intraocular lenses (IOLs) used in laser cataract eye surgery (Motiyabind operation, Laser Cataract Surgery, Laser Eye Surgery ), each designed to address different vision needs:
- Monofocal IOLs: These lenses provide clear vision at one fixed distance (either far, intermediate, or near). Patients may still need glasses for other distances.
- Multifocal IOLs: These lenses have multiple focal points, allowing for clear vision at various distances, reducing the need for glasses.
- Extended Depth-of-Focus (EDOF) IOLs: These lenses provide a continuous range of vision, offering better intermediate and distance vision without distinct focal points.
- Toric IOLs: Designed for patients with astigmatism, these lenses correct both cataracts and astigmatism.
- Accommodative IOLs: These lenses can move or change shape inside the eye, allowing for focusing at different distances.
- Light-Adjustable Lenses (LALs): These lenses can be adjusted after surgery using light treatments to fine-tune vision.
